A Democratic congressman's actions have set many Republican members of Congress ablaze with indignation and frustration.

The telling exchange came during an interview with former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, now on MSNBC.

“It is my understanding that pursuant to the Constitution, members of Congress will continue to receive their pay," he said in the letter.

"It is an insult to our governing authority to have the Senate latch Ukraine funding to the reauthorization of the FAA."

Moderate Republicans who work with Democrats to pass a budget bill most Republicans oppose are warned they will pay a political price.

"Enough of the insanity already," one GOP rep said. "Seems like Biden fell asleep on the train and got off at Ukraine instead of America."

A defense bill supported by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was shot down before it could even reach the floor of the House for a vote.

According to reports, there is unrest in the Republican caucus in the House of Representatives and Speaker McCarthy's job is threatened.

Jousting over the upcoming budget could end up with no budget in place as the federal fiscal year comes to and end soon.
