This Washington Post journalist is facing serious criticism for her take of Gisele Fetterman's decision to go to Canada.

"Ultimately, if Fetterman is unable or unwilling to carry out his duties as a United States Senator, then we ask for his resignation."

The office of Sen. John Fetterman has released an update on his condition after he was admitted to a hospital earlier this month.

Gisele Barreto Fetterman departed the family's home for Canada after her husband was hospitalized for clinical depression.

"A senior aide says it’s been difficult to distinguish the stroke from the depression," NBC News correspondent Dasha Burns reported.

Fetterman reportedly checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Wednesday night to be treated for clinical depression.

Democratic Sen. John Fetterman is struggling with auditory processing issues as he continues to recover from a stroke.

"We will provide more information when we have it," Fetterman's communications director, Joe Calvello, said in a statement.

"This is just fine & normal now," one Twitter user said sarcastically. She was hardly alone in her assessment.

Stunningly, Fetterman's inability to communicate didn't matter to Democratic voters. And against all odds, he won the race.
