The man who shot eight people at a Texas mall has been identified, and some of his background has come to light.

“We invite all citizens who possess illegal weapons to respond to this call,” police official Jelena Lakicevic said.

After a mass shooting in a Texas mall on Saturday, Rep. Pat Fallon spoke out, reminding the American people of the Second Amendment.

"The officer engaged the suspect and neutralized the threat," the police said on Facebook. "He then called for emergency personnel."

A call to an FBI tip line Tuesday evening led to the arrest barely an hour later in the city of Cut and Shoot, Texas, according to the FBI.

“We do not know where he is,” said James Smith, the FBI's special agent in charge, with regards to suspect Francisco Oropesa.

“So fortunate and so glad and so thankful that right now we believe that everybody is going to survive,” Sheriff Leon Lott said.

Trump said in an interview that, if his plan for ending school shootings was implemented, "you’re not going to have a problem anymore."

The Louisville shooter claimed that he wanted to show how easy it is for a mentally disturbed person to get a firearm.
