Sen. Ron Johnson blows the whistle on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell tying border security to more funding for Ukraine.

Kentuckian Mitch McConnell's days as Senate GOP leader might be numbered after this latest border bill debacle.

A bill opposed by former President Donald Trump for its border provisions had a major vote in the Senate, leaving some unhappy.

Senate Republicans will vote against the proposed border bill that includes funding for Ukraine and Israel proceeding to a floor vote.

Conservative senators are already in open rebellion, and the House Republican leadership reaction has been ferocious.

"Under no circumstances will I support a guy that makes backdoor deals with Chuck Schumer [and] Joe Biden," he said.

"This is what Senate Republican leaders have been warning privately for weeks, especially to those GOP lawmakers up for reelection in 2024."

"The Constitution is clear: Congress has the sole authority to authorize military involvement in overseas conflicts."

It looks like Senate Republicans in Washington are cooking up a plan to secure the border and leave it open at the same time.

"Democrats are shamelessly lying to the American people by claiming the border is secure -- all while streamlining a criminal invasion."
