With the whole world watching, the company that put a lander on the moon is paying the price for what has gone wrong.

NASA paid more than $100 million to fly experiments on the lander, which will soon burn up in a fiery re-entry.

It may be an unusual Christmas present, but a small piece of fruit is a huge gift to one NASA astronaut who set a record in space.

A week ago, NASA flight controllers sent the wrong command to the Voyager 2, and now, the organization is scrambling to re-establish contact.

"It’s a very busy time, but everyone is very excited and looking forward to the launch," the project leader said.

Images showed multiple engines weren't working on the 33-engine rocket as it climbed from the launch pad, reaching as high as 24 miles.
