A driver who was fleeing police slammed into two women in Brooklyn, killing one of them, before getting away on foot, authorities said.

On May 1, the NYPD's Emergency Service Unit responded to a call, which resulted in them rescuing a woman 54 stories above the ground.

Officials are now saying outsiders were heavily involved in some of the college campus protests that have been taking place.

Demonstrators wore shirts that read “CEASEFIRE NOW” while some held signs that read, “STOP FUNDING GENOCIDE.”

She now awaits the results of a hearing - which hasn't yet been scheduled - before she can again access most of the amenities of her college.

The reporter concluded his four hours locked up left him feeling “mad at the structures and institutions in our society.”
