Students who were seen shielding the American flag refused to budge when a crowd of anti-Israel agitators surrounded them.

Unchecked anarchy raged on the UCLA campus overnight as hours of clashes among protesters took place before police were called in.

Police moved in Tuesday night to clear out and arrest protesters who occupied a building at Columbia University. 

It appears that college campus protesters aren't in a hurry to disperse anytime soon, and given recent U.S. history, this isn't surprising.

"They took over, I know the building very well, they took over a building. That is -- that is a big deal," the former president said.
