Former President Donald Trump will be competing against the second Republican presidential debate, according to new reports.

On Wednesday, it was announced that Fox Business Network will host the second Republican primary debate, with new moderators.

After Trump turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail, his campaign started selling merchandise featuring his now-famous mugshot.

A DeSantis spokesman said the Trump campaign should focus on "getting their candidate on the campaign trail in Iowa and on the debate stage.”

Trump's absence from the first GOP debate was a big gamble for the former president. One poll shows the bet might not have paid off.

"Ron DeSantis showed last night that he is a proven leader who will deliver results as president," the team's campaign manager said.

"I don't know that I've seen anything get such positive response from such a diverse group of people," Oliver Anthony said.
