New barriers have emerged to Kevin McCarthy's election as speaker of the House as the fractured GOP takes control.

"House Republicans say that they want to craft a budget, but they haven’t yet been able to select a speaker," Romney said.

The GOP have two years before the 2024 primary and general elections. They'll need that time to mend some big fractures within the party.

"We have been losing this state and nation because collectively we are doing almost nothing to fight the good fight."

'Is the best Congress can really do today pledging a vote for Mitch McConnell? Or Kevin McCarthy?' Gaetz asked.
