Titanic ll Set To Sail Exact Course of Original Titanic, Give Customers Authentic Experience
April 15, 1912, is a date that has gone down in history as the fateful day the RMS Titanic sank to the “heart of the ocean” after colliding with an iceberg the evening prior.
According to Discovering Ireland, “The North Atlantic Ocean disaster claimed the lives of 1,514 people and is one of the most devastating maritime disasters in history.”
We’ve all seen James Cameron’s theatrical take on the infamous maiden voyage of the ocean liner that was supposed to be “unsinkable.”
If you just so happen to be the sole individual who has never seen this film, you’ve more than likely at least heard Jack’s famous “I’m the king of the world” line.
Well, it’s time for Jack to move over because there’s a new king of the world and he’s taken on a feat so grand, we almost can’t believe it’s actually happening.
Global News reports that a replica of the original luxury vessel, respectively named Titanic II, will set sail in 2022.
The Blue Star Line project is headed up by Australian mining tycoon Clive Palmer. And here’s the clincher — Titanic II’s maiden voyage will follow the same path as her predecessor.
Travel Pulse reported the vessel was originally meant to set sail in 2012 in honor of the Titanic’s 100th birthday.
Now that all financial constraints are in the past, Blue Star Line is hard at work to finish the $500 million project.
The “Today Show” explained that modern technology is the one thing that sets the Titanic II apart from the original ocean liner.
According to a poll the news outlet conducted, 65 percent of people on social media said they would not board this ship.

I’ll admit, I’m part of the 65 percent. Though it could be a really neat historical experience to walk onboard the iconic vessel, I’d rather stick close to land if you don’t mind.
