Toddler Falls Again and Again Attempting Box Jump, Watch Her Reaction Moment She Nails It
It is easy to walk away from a difficult task and in the face of failure.
How many times have you heard the saying, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again? The well-known idiom can cause many an eye-roll from those who just want to give up.
Giving up can seem easy, but the feeling of accomplishing something that you have not been able to do before is unlike any other.
In the beginning, the task can seem impossible. But once you achieve a goal, you feel like you can take on the world.
One little girl exemplified exactly that in a video that has been circulating with the hashtags #nevergiveup and #giveyourbest.
The task she is trying to complete? A box jump. The perch she is trying to leap onto is taller than her legs!
She takes a leap and accidentally kicks the stool over. She takes another and lands face first into the top of the stool.
Over and over again she tries, and fails, to land with both feet planted on the top of the box.
She seems to get into a rhythm, landing on the edge of the stool and then jumping off. But then she falls again, taking the stool with her to the floor.
Most of us would give up. Most of us would be tired of trying.
And that is usually when someone else steps in.
For this little girl, it’s her dad. He gives her a pep talk, kisses her on the forehead, and coaches her one last time.
She readies herself. Takes a deep breath. Swings her arms. Jumps and finally lands it with a satisfying “ah!!”
She celebrates with high fives and hugs from her dad, illustrating exactly how it feels to finally achieve your goal and encouraging viewers everywhere to never give up.
