Trump Launches Hilarious Scheme To Fill Pelosi and Schumer's Offices with Bricks

Share

First it was concrete, then it was steel slats. Now, apparently, the White House thinks they can use bricks to build the wall — although not quite in the way you might be imagining.

According to the Washington Examiner, a fundraising email from the Trump campaign says that for only $20.20, you can send a fake red brick to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

“Weeks after the Democrats began stonewalling President Trump in his fight to secure our border, the American people now have a chance to send a clear message to Democrat leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi about the need to build the wall,” the fundraising email, sent out Friday, read.

The email came from Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale, who felt that the bricks would serve as a form of education.

The bricks, inscribed with a message about why the wall needs to be built, would teach the Democrat leaders “the truth about the crime, drugs, and human trafficking that result from open borders.”

“We’ll send the wall to them, brick by brick, until they agree to secure the border,” he added.

Donald Trump Jr. also got in on the action, tweeting about the initiative:

Do you think the wall needs to be funded?

If you go to the site, it gives you the option to send a brick to Schumer or to Pelosi.

“President Trump came up with a brilliant idea to make sure Chuck and Nancy have no choice but to listen to the American people,” the website says.

“We have set a goal to send 100,000 BRICKS to their offices to prove that WALLS WORK!”

The sample brick shown is inscribed with the fact that enough fentanyl came through the southern border to kill every American.

The move comes as the White House and Democrat leaders are still at an impasse over border funding, leading to a record-long partial government shutdown.

The White House continues to request $5.7 billion for border funding, which would include a wall. Democrats, meanwhile, have countered with $1.3 billion for border security with no wall included.

Of course, the brick fundraising idea had plenty of liberals venting on social media:

Trump’s fundraising efforts for 2020 have been fairly successful; in October, CNN reported the president “has raised more than $100 million for a re-election battle that is more than two years away, giving him a massive financial advantage over a crowded field of potential Democratic contenders jockeying to challenge him in 2020.

“The President raised more than $18 million during the July-to-September fundraising quarter through his campaign committee and the joint fundraising operations he maintains with the Republican National Committee, according to his campaign and filings Monday night with Federal Election Commission,” they noted. “That haul means his re-election effort’s war chest now exceeds $106 million.”

And, thanks to this latest troll, he could certainly end up with a bit more change in those coffers.
