Victim's Dad Sounds Alarm Bell, Mass Shooter Registered to Vote in Broward Co. Jail
In what could only be described as the cruelest twist of fate, alleged Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooter Nikolas Cruz was allowed to register to vote in what would’ve been the first election many of his victims would’ve been able to experience as registered votersk themselves.
But they’re not alive to do it.
Andrew Pollack, the father of one of Cruz’s victims, lamented his discovery on Twitter.
I’m sick to my stomach. 18-1958 murdered 17 students & staff, including my daughter Meadow. Yet in July, Broward Sheriff @ScottJIsrael let people into the jail to get him & other animals registered to vote. The Despicable Democrats have no shame. Can’t let them steal this election. pic.twitter.com/qWisidEpek

“I’m sick to my stomach,” Pollack wrote. “18-1958 murdered 17 students & staff, including my daughter Meadow.”
The number “18-1958” refers to Cruz’s case number. It’s hard to blame Pollack for not wanting to use a name for a monster who confessed to killing so many innocent people.
“Yet in July, Broward Sheriff (Scott Israel) let people into the jail to get him & other animals registered to vote,” Pollack added. “The Despicable Democrats have no shame. Can’t let them steal this election.”
Pollack continued to mourn over what would’ve been his daughter’s first election as an adult.
This election would have been my beautiful Meadow’s 1st election, but she wasn’t able to vote because 18-1958 murdered her during the Parkland shooting.
If she can’t vote because of that monster, why should he be allowed to register to vote? Shame on Sheriff Israel & SOE Snipes! https://t.co/TBu2iyamT8

I can’t even begin to imagine the pain of a father having to bury his own daughter. It’s maddeningly sad and something I wouldn’t even wish upon my worst enemy.
And yet, that nightmare continues to trudge on for Pollack.
For Cruz to register to vote may be legally proper — he has not been convicted of the crime yet, he is not a felon and therefore has the right to vote. Still, it’s easy to see how Pollack sees it as both despicable and a spit on the face of Pollack’s daughter.
Broward County is hardly a stranger to election controversy. News that jail inmates were being trolled to get more likely Democratic voters on the rolls won’t make the county look any more efficient — at least not to sane Americans. (To be clear, Cruz apparently registered Republican.)
The horror that Pollack must be experiencing was even enough to leave the normally loquacious Dana Loesch speechless.
No father should have to go through what Pollack did. More so than that, no father should ever have to go through the indignity of watching his child’s murderer be allowed to have any say in the way this country operates.
