Video Proof That Cats Hate Christmas
They say there are two types of people in this world — cat people and dog people. You probably already know which type you are.
Personally, I’m a dog person. We could debate all day about which furry friend tops the other, but in the end, I won’t be swayed from my conclusion that dogs are just more lovable.
Cat-loving folks will say the same about their pets. If you prefer animals of the feline-persuasion, you might try to argue that cats are more well-behaved.
And to that I’d ask you, “What about the Christmas trees?” Before we go too far on this topic, however, let’s get one thing out of the way.
Yes, dogs have been known to ruin a Christmas tree or two. Even Mickey Mouse’s beloved pup Pluto has wreaked havoc on a Christmas tree on one occasion or another.
One could argue that Pluto had a perfectly good reason for his actions. Who wouldn’t be driven nuts by a couple of mischievous chipmunks?
Now that our cartoon fix is out of the way, we can discuss some real-life proof that cats are truly the Scrooges of the holiday season.
A video compilation posted by The Dodo featuring Cats vs. Christmas Trees just goes to show that you can’t leave a feline and holiday cheer alone in the same room together.
Watch as time after time, these cats go paw to branch with these trees. They chew, they climb and they destroy. It’s as if these cats are saying, “bah humbug” over and over again.
It turns out cats don’t just hate Christmas trees. Another video posted to Rumble shows a cat tearing down a Christmas stocking.
A child can be heard laughing in the background, but this is a serious Christmas misdemeanor. What would Santa say?
Dogs, on the other hand, are nothing short of amazing. They may not have nine lives or be able to land on their paws every time, but canines are truly “man’s best friend.”
Another Rumble video shows a dog kindly helping decorate a Christmas tree. I’ll bet you’ve never seen a cat do this!
If this doesn’t prove which pets are more into the holiday spirit, I don’t know what does. There’s no doubt which animals will be on Santa’s naughty and nice lists this year.
Whichever pet you fancy, we hope you have a safe and playful holiday with your furry friends. And if you have a cat, maybe put that Christmas tree behind closed doors.
