Watch Funny Dog Get His Teeth Brushed and Help Out Along the Way
The old Latin phrase of homo homini lupus (“man is a wolf to man”) was supposed to emphasize human beings’ inhumanity to one another. But wouldn’t it be appropriate to flip the saying on its head?
After all, animals sometimes display shockingly human behavior. Sometimes they plan for the future, such as when canines hide food for a later date.
Other times, they provide displays of love, altruism, or affection. And occasionally, dogs are human to dogs in utterly hilarious ways.
Just think about Sunny and Judy, a chihuahua and Australian terrier who have taken the world by storm. Their official Facebook page show the duo aping all sorts of human-like stunts.

One video shows Judy playing dead after being shot with a pretend gun, while another shows the pair snuggling in bed and watching a movie on a laptop. But one of the most hilarious shorts shows the pair indulging in a bit of oh-so-relatable blame shifting.
“Girls,” the dogs’ owner intones in the video, “who pooped in the kitchen?” With barely a hesitation, Judy lifts her paw and places it on Sunny’s head, indicating exactly which of them is the culprit.
According to Gladwire, a California dog owner named Melissa sees somewhat similar actions from her pooch, a rescue dog named Honey. While driving through Humboldt County, Melissa put on some tunes to entertain her during the drive.
That was when Honey, who sat in the front seat, started to react. Melissa started a camera rolling to capture the whole exchange.
As the initial strains of Michael Jackson’s “Will You Be There” filled the car, Honey tilted her head back and let out a soul-baring howl. When Melissa started to sing along with the King of Pop, Honey was right there with her, doing her doggy best to mimic the melody.
Another video that has recently gone viral shows a pup engaging in an activity that most of us merely tolerate. However, this pooch appears to find it utterly delightful.
It starts with the tiny doggo standing on its hind legs, its teeth bared. At first, its owner’s odd brushing motions across the animal’s snout seem out of place.
Then you realize what’s actually going on: The canine is getting its teeth brushed — and it seems to love it!
After a few moments of scrubbing, the owner stops. Then he presses a tiny sliver of meat up to the dog’s snout.
The treat quickly devoured, the dog produces a toothy grin, and the owner resumes his brushing. “Smile!” the owner says, stifling a chuckle as the dog complies.
“Thank you! Nice boy! Smile, please!” And so the brushing continues, the lop-eared canine cheerfully acquiescing whenever asked.
Meanwhile, here I am with a youngest child who screeches like a banshee whenever I approach with a toothbrush. I wonder: Does this pet owner offer lessons?
