Watch: HS Player Pulls Off Block, Stunning Buzzer-Beater in Last 5 Seconds
How’s this for taking over a game in the final minutes?
Tre Hodge, a sophomore guard at Sabis International Charter High School in Springfield, Massachusetts, scored his team’s last eight points, including a three-quarter-court buzzer-beater to beat Chicopee Comprehensive High School on Tuesday.
What was even more incredible is that just before he made that miracle shot, he blocked the shot of the Chicopee Comp player who drove to the hoop looking to make the game-winner.
Hodge blocked the shot, grabbed the loose ball, took a few dribbles up the court and let it fly as time expired.
The ball banked off the backboard into the hoop to give Sabis a 55-52 win.
What more can I say? 2nd game in a row @tre_hodge came thru with defense and clutch shooting vs Comp… BUT this here brings new meaning to “hard defense = easy offense!” With Sabis down 5 with less than 1 min left, Tre scored the final 8 pts! #413 @CTBballClub @NE6Hoops pic.twitter.com/HKx687li0N

If that’s not enough, a few seconds earlier, on Sabis’ previous possession, Hodge drained a 3-pointer to tie the game at 52.
That set the stage for his last-second block and game-winning heave.

Hodge, who was mobbed by his teammates and other students, finished with 15 points.
Aaron Williams scored 18 points for the Bulldogs, who improved to 7-4 on the season, according to MassLive.
Adrian Bonilla had a game-high 24 points for Chicopee Comp (2-8).
Hodge’s block wasn’t quite as dramatic as the famous LeBron James rejection of Andre Iguodala in the 2016 NBA Finals.

But then again, LeBron didn’t make a game-winning three-quarter-court shot on top of that.
