Watch: Pathetic Flop Gets Opponent Ejected in Final Minute of Close Game
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid pulled off quite the acting performance late in the Sixers loss Tuesday night in Detroit.
Embiid was barely touched by Pistons center Andre Drummond in the face — with an unintentional glancing blow — after making a shot over Drummond with 42.8 seconds left in the fourth.
Embiid went down like he was hit in the face with an anvil, prompting the referees to give Drummond a technical foul. It was his second technical of the game, which meant he was ejected.

Embiid rubbed salt in the wound by waving Drummond off the court, appearing to say, “Get him outta here.”
Embiid’s hoop put the Sixers ahead 120-118 — but, as John Lennon said about karma, it’s going to get you.
J.J. Redick, a 90 percent free-throw shooter, missed the technical foul shot. Detroit’s Blake Griffin then hit a 10-foot fade away to tie the game at 120-all to send it to overtime.
In the wild overtime period, Redick converted a 4-point play with 5.6 seconds left to give the Sixers a 132-130 lead, only to be outdone once again by Griffin.
With 1.8 seconds left, Griffin made a driving layup and was fouled. He sank the free throw to give the Pistons the 133-132 win.

Griffin had a career night, scoring 50 points with 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Embiid had 33 and Redick added 30.
After the game, Embiid was still talking.
“I think I own a lot of real estate in his head,” Embiid said of Drummond, reported the Detroit Free Press. “We lost, so I’m not supposed to talk trash, but he knows damn well that he can’t guard me.”
Lol does he? If that’s so he wouldn’t be so excited to have me off the floor? Think about it that’s a silly statement ! I’ll take the W though enjoy flight home #Emmyaward winning actor

In a tweet, Drummond dismissed Embiid’s post-game remarks and offered his own zinger.
“Lol does he? If that’s so he wouldn’t be so excited to have me off the floor? Think about it that’s a silly statement ! I’ll take the W though enjoy flight home #Emmyaward winning actor,” Drummond wrote.
The win kept Detroit undefeated at 3-0, while the Sixers fell to 2-2.
