Watch: Ump punches catcher in head while calling strikeout
Umpires can get pretty demonstrative with their strikeout calls, as we’ve all seen over the years.
The strikeout is often their signature call, and every umpire does it a little differently.
But an umpire in the Korean Baseball Organization took it to a new level.
He went from being demonstrative to being dangerous.
In punching out a batter on strikes for the KT Wiz on Wednesday, the umpire actually punched out the catcher for the Doosan Bears — literally.
As the video shows, the umpire nailed Doosan catcher Yang Eui-ji in the back of the head.

It was a pretty good shot to the back of the noggin.
The catcher grabbed his head and walked it off a bit after getting his bell rung.
The umpire seemed not to acknowledge it — maybe he’s done it before?
MLB certainly umpires have their own style when it comes to strikeout calls.
But they tend to do their punchouts to the sides, not straight ahead.
That might be a lesson learned for this KBO umpire.
It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
