Woman Declares Heaven Is Real After Reportedly Being Brought Back to Life by Doctors 5 Times
Every day, we’re confronted with discouraging headlines about sickness, war and tragedy. The constant bad news can challenge our faith and tempt us to surrender all hope.
Once in a while, however, a life-changing experience comes along to brighten our perspective right when we need it most.
Initially, all hope seemed lost when Tina Hines dropped to the ground during a morning walk in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Her eyes didn’t close, and they were rolled back in her head. She was purple and not making any noise or breathing,” Brian Hines, Tina’s husband, told KPHO-TV.
Tina was in otherwise perfect health, making the sudden cardiac arrest even more shocking. Brian called 911 and administered CPR, which seemed to save his wife’s life before her heart stopped again.
“We ended up shocking her three times on scene and two en route,” a firefighter who was on the scene said. “I’ve never shocked anyone five times.”
Once at the hospital, Tina was placed on a defibrillator. However, the odds that she would recover seemed slim. Tina was dead for 27 minutes in total.
Tina’s niece, Madie Johnson, shared the incredible moments that followed in an emotional Instagram caption.
“She was put on a defibrillator and after miraculously waking up the first thing she did, unable to speak because she was intubated, was ask for a pen and in my cousins journal wrote ‘it’s real,'” Johnson’s caption reads.
At first, no one in the room understood what the two words meant.
When asked what was “real,” Tina lifted her hand, “pointing up to heaven with tears in her eyes.”
Tina later explained that she saw Jesus standing before black gates. The scene was comforting, lit with a bright yellow glow.
“It was so real,” Tina said. “It was almost like that vision of the sun, and then Jesus standing there.”
After being released from the hospital, Tina and her husband visited the paramedics, firefighters and even the 911 operator who helped save her life that morning. Those who had been present that day agreed that Tina’s recovery was miraculous.

“It’s one of those calls that none of us will ever forget,” a rescuer on the scene said. “I was a witness to a miracle is the way I look at it.”
Tina’s niece decided to get a permanent reminder that “it’s real.” Tattoo artist Suede Silver recreated Tina’s handwriting on Johnson’s wrist.
“Her story is too real not to share and has given me a stronger confidence in a faith that so often goes unseen,” Johnson wrote.
“It has given me a tangibleness to an eternal hope that is not too far away. I love you @_tinahines! The way you boldly love Jesus and others has changed the way I hope to live and love.”
