Woman’s Fake Teeth Get Stuck After Discovering Glue They Came With Wasn’t Temporary

Share

Halloween is a time for tricks and treats, but this is one trick that went a little too far.

Anna Tew from Mobile County, Alabama, had what one might call a nightmare of a Halloween costume, according to WKRG.

Tew, wanting to look the part for the spooky holiday, got herself a set of fake toy teeth to complement her Halloween attire.

The teeth, unfortunately, were a little more permanent than she hoped for.

Tew purchased the vampire teeth and quickly glued them in with the temporary glue that came with the purchase.

To Tew’s surprise, as hard as she tried, the teeth would just not come out.

As she feared she would be a vampire for the rest of life, the pain intensified as the teeth grew incredibly tight in her mouth.

“I even took a pair of wire clippers and cut the tips off of those,” Tew told WKRG. “I was trying to remove them then because they were just tight.”

Are you reconsidering wearing fake teeth for Halloween?

The glue that came with the teeth was supposed to be temporary but required an emergency trip to the dentist.

Tew quickly made her way to Dr. John Murphy’s Alabama Family Dental on Saturday.

“He talked about drilling,” she told WKRG.

“They had a saw, talked about taking them off in sections, and they couldn’t numb it because they were scared they would actually pull my teeth out. So he went in and picked and pulled and I squealed like a baby and they got them out.”

According to Murphy, products like these fake teeth sometimes get stuck.

Tew was definitely relieved that the teeth were out. She even issued a warning to other party-goers looking to disguise their appearance this Halloween.

“Never do it again,” Tew told WKRG. “Never will I put anything like that back in my mouth.”

The fake vampire teeth cost around $3, Tew told KTVI. She is looking into her legal options.

Buyers beware this Halloween season. May your costume fit you but not become you.
