WWE Hall of Famer Killed After Being Hit By Truck
Police are calling it a “terrible accident.” A man hit by a pickup truck while crossing a busy road Wednesday morning.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he later passed away.
Police also said he was not at a crosswalk at the time of the accident, though they are still investigating.
The deceased individual has now been identified as a legendary professional wrestler. He was 71 years of age.
Thomas Sullivan, better known as “Luscious” Johnny Valiant, began his wrestling career in 1969.
Over the years, he won numerous championships, including two Tag Team Championship with brothers “Handsome” Jimmy and “Gentleman” Jerry.
Valiant would go on to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996. He was well known for his bleached hair and outrageous style.
Valiant would also serve as Hulk Hogan’s Manager and during WWE Broadcasts as a color commentator.
Since news of his passing, friends, fans, and other professional wrestlers have been sharing their condolences.
